The Early Childhood Education program is designed to provide experiences in educational theory in the areas of social, emotional, cognitive, physical/motor and creative development for children from birth through age eight. Courses also are available for caregivers of school-age children, ages five through 14.
There are five ECE Certificates available at Olympic College: a 50 credit hour certificate of proficiency, and 19 credit hour certificates in ECE Assistant Cert., ECE program administration, ECE family childcare and ECE infant/toddler specialist.
Articulation agreements: ATA – The Evergreen State College and Washington State University, AAS – Chapman University (Early Childhood), Western Washington University, Old Dominion University (Elementary Education), AAST – Washington State University, Eastern Washington University and Seattle Pacific University
