  • Center for Childcare Workforce -  (CCW) is a nonprofit, research, education and advocacy organization committed to improving child care quality by upgrading the compensation, working conditions and training of child care teachers and family child care providers. We coordinate the Worthy Wage campaign, a grassroots effort to promote leadership and career advancement for teachers and providers, empowering the workforce itself to press for staffing solutions. We also offer leadership and community organizing training through our Leadership Empowerment Action Project (LEAP).
  • Children's Alliance - a statewide, member based advocacy organization dedicated to improving the safety, security, health and education of Washington's children.  Our activities include policy analysis and development, public education, outreach, training, and policy advocacy. We also support collaborative efforts by individuals and organizations working on juvenile  justice, food program policies, medical and dental services, family support, budget priorities, and prevention strategies.
  • Connect for Kids -  a virtual encyclopedia of information for adults who want to make their communities better places for kids. Our award-winning Web site, e-mail newsletters, radio, print and TV ads help people become more active citizens-from volunteering to voting.
  • Parent Power is a project of the Children's Alliance. It is a statewide advocacy organization working to improve the well-being of Washington's children. One way to do our job is to provide information you can use to get the help your family needs.
  • The Board on Children, Youth, and Families addresses a variety of policy-relevant issues related to the health and development of children, youth, and families. It does so by convening experts to weigh in on matters from the perspective of the behavioral, social, and health sciences. The Board's Committee on Adolescent Health and Development focuses attention on critical national issues of importance to youth and their families. The Board operates under the National Research Council and the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies.
  • University of Washington Evans School of Public Affairs, Human Services. Policy Center - our mission is to improve the well-being of children, families and communities. They conduct policy and data analysis and provide training, technical assistance and consultation to further this mission.
