Washington Learns
Governor Christine Gregoire requested and the 2005 legislature approved E2SSB 5441 (and related E2SHB 1152) to establish a comprehensive study to create a “strong education system that will provide an educated citizenry and a thriving economy” in the state.
Washington Learns is a complete review of all education sectors: early learning, K-12 education and post-secondary education and workforce training – the first such review in at least two decades.
Washington Learns is based on the vision that a well-educated population is vital to a vibrant and prosperous society.
