Advocacy - Because Everything We Do for Kids Matters!

Child Care Aware of Washington advocates for all WA families to have access to high-quality child care and early learning programs, and for our state's child care professionals to earn a living wage.

What's on top right now?

Child Care Aware of WA supports two new child care bills introduced by Rep. Reeves: HB2367 - Childcare Collaborative and HB2396 - Working Families Childcare Access & Affordability Through Regional Employers Act. Both would expand access to, and affordability of, high-quality child care across WA. Let your elected representatives in Olympia know you support these two bills. You can find your legislator here.

Child Care Aware of Washington calls on the state legislature and the governor to restore full funding of Early Achievers and increase Working Connections Child Care subsidy reimbursement rates. Read our 2018 Legislative Agenda here. Haga clic aquí para leer nuestro 2018 Legislative Agenda.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation recently released a report, "Workforce of Today, Workforce of Tomorrow: The Business Case for High-Quality Childcare," that details how businesses benefit when their employees have access to high-quality child care and the easy things businesses can do to ensure access to affordable child care programs.
